Do you find it difficult to say the word sex to your doctor?
I went to see my doctor, and we were talking about strenuous activities. I asked him a sex question but I could not say the word sex, I instead said intercourse. I went from a simple 1 syllable word to 3 syllables. Anyone else have this issue?

Sure. This is common. Doctors are frequently intimidating. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with "intercourse." Good for you that you were able to discuss it at all.
